The world does not want to see these superstar athletes act this way. Kids growing up look to these role models as a guide to follow. Tiger Woods now is the latest victim to join the bad imaged athletes. The question remains why did he do it? Tiger, don’t you live the life? If I remember correctly aren’t you the first billion-dollar athlete? Some athletes lose so much respect when instances, like Tiger’s, occur.
Overall, Tiger Woods lives the dream any person in the world would love to live. He is married to a Swedish model, who is absolutely gorgeous. The man is sponsored by Nike, Gatorade, Gillette, and many more brand name sponsors. Did I mention he has a yacht? Tiger, you are 33 years old and have two kids. There is no need to be prancing around looking for other young women to fool around with. Whether or not these allegations are true, your image will be forever tarnished outside of golf. As far as your golf play, no one will notice a bit, but you now join the same category as the athletes mentioned above (A-Rod, Gretzky, Bonds, Jordan).
Tiger, you got what you deserved. Next time do not underestimate your own skills, swing a golf club, cause the club finally backfired on you. The one thing that hurts the most is the fact that Tiger will not come out to the public and speak the truth. He is too afraid he will lose sponsorships, in my opinion. What is the worst that can happen, going from a billion dollars to half a billion in total earnings? The world is such a cruel place, Tiger. It’s time to grow up and act like a true role model. Then again, not only are you a role model for young kids and teenagers, but how about being a good role model for your own kids?
I agree that tiger does not need to be doing that because he is 33 has 2 kids and a beautiful wife. But he is famous and he does have the temptations all the time. Yes it is very wrong what he did but the fact is it happened there is no need to keep talking about it. He is human and bound to make mistakes. I am so tired of hearing about this.
ReplyDeleteThe one thing tiger is smart about is not talking to the press about it because as of now he has not confessed to anything. In a way not talking to the press is hurting but saving his image and his sponsors. He is hurting his image because people are assuming all of the information reveal about him is true rather than hearing the truth. It is saving his image because he has not confessed to anything yet. Also, it is protecting him from getting dropped form his sponsors.
Overall I think this whole thing should be over and done with even though it has impacted the way people view him a great deal.
I think the whole thing would have gone away pretty quickly if he actually got off his ass and made a statement. Tiger let the situation get completely out of hand, to the point of porn stars revealing that they bumped uglies with Tiger. I feel like I can't go out and get a gallon of milk without running into 4 of Tiger's mistresses. The guy is definatly a dirt bag. It is one thing to live this lifestyle when you are younger and don't have children, but it is another when you have committed to someone for a lifetime and decided to procreate twice with your wife. I wouldn't be suprised if we heard a news story 18 years from now saying that there are 11 kids claiming to be Tiger's illegitimate child. Tiger disapointed me in the way that he handled this issue, and I believe he suffered alot more because of it.
ReplyDeleteI believe Tiger Woods really messed up here. I think his image is tarnished and I am shocked what he did. I think he should have come out right away and spoke up, and how did he not ever think all this would come out? He has a lot of work to do to repair his image and I dont know if he can. Once Tiger starts winning again this may go away, but I will always think of him differently in a bad way. I also believe he will start to lose more and more sponsorships.

ReplyDeleteIt is amazing to see how much worse things have gotten since Nick first posted this entry. I too was shocked by the revelations. It went from being a single 'indiscretion' to being a sex scandal of unimaginable proportions. I am not sure Tiger can ever recover in terms of his image. Nor do I think that his marriage can be saved, which is most tragic of all for the children.
